As Fall transcends the frivolity of sun splashed aimless days of Summer into the serenity of calming hues of brown, yellow, and orange, the kids set down their beach towels only to pick up their notebooks and pencils. Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea maintains 124 acres of land. Sixty of these are developed and inclusive of lighted tennis courts, backstops, vast grassy areas to picnic and a 4 acre lake with two piers from which to fish from. The singular grove of Redwoods in Orange County find their home in Carbon Canyon Park as well. The Coastal Redwoods cover 3 acres!
There are Naturalist-guided tours to group talks to trail biking to bird watching to Night Hikes beginning in November.
The school calendar stretches over the majority of the year swallowing 9 months out of 12. Energizing for this journey just may be found in the tranquility of strolling through an Autumn kaleidoscope as together you reminisce about the joys of Summer while quietly wondering about what is to come.
